Both Manchester City, and Manchester United, have made contact with the entourage of Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann.

The France international has been the subject of interest in the past from both Chelsea and City’s near neighbours, but now the Blues have been linked with a move as RMC Sport are now reporting.

The France news outlet believes City have made contact with Griezmann’s people to discover whether it could be possible to bring the forward to the Etihad Stadium in the summer.

Atletico Madrid will be reluctant to allowing the 26-year-old forward to leave. Nonetheless, City could tempt the former Real Sociedad striker to swap Madrid for Manchester with the lure of Premier League football and Pep Guardiola.

Any potential deal for any interested party would cost close to €100million as the Madrid outfit are keen on the French striker remaining with the club as they prepare to challenge European football’s elite once more.

With Barcelona and Real Madrid making contact with the player’s representation, if any move does occur, a Premier League move is more likely rather than Madrid selling to one of their closest La Liga title rivals.
